For that other error like I said there's no real fix it seems like, I've heard a couple people made it worked by disabling CFG (which you already tried) or reinstalling Windows but those are not things I would recommend to do tbh.There, had to attach it as a .txt file because I couldn't upload it as a .log file nor as a zip file. Also if nothing works I might just wait until I feel like trying it out on Linux since I've been meaning to switch to it or setup a dual boot.
