DRIVECLUB STATUS AS OF 11th June 2025

Performance in a 12-driver race: 15-30fps (depending on the amount of mesh rendered in the driver's eyes)
bugs "fixed" so far:
- Night races aren't glitched out anymore and actually looks near-native
- Car liveries and colours are fixed and no longer appear full-black
- The game no longer has a chance of rendering fully black until the game is restarted.
- SSR(Screen-spaced reflections) have been fixed*
- The camera-switching issue is completely fixed and looks normal now.
- volumetric cloud layering is fixed as of the latest PR
- camera movement is fixed as of latest
*: unsure and unproven by the author of this post, only concluded through vague evidence from sources (screenshots or videos) from others
Current-updated bug list:
- Lighting is still only partially implemented
- Garbled artifacting amongst some unknown objects
- Car windows are still broken
- pitch black after a certain amount of time mid-race (likely related to that exposure bug?)*
- Day races show near-completely black terrain mesh but proper skybox rendering
- replay car stuttering

using the latest shadps4 main branch nightly
Performance in a 12-driver race: consistent 30fps, occasional 60fps when no AI cars is in driver's sight and 60fps patch is enabled
NOTE: performance improvement is visible only if your GPU isn't already maxed out. this specific build utilises the GPU far better compared to xcedf's branch (roughly 2x improvement in utilisation)
bugs fixed compared to Xcedf's branch:
- Interior camera movement works completely fine now and is "fixed"
- LOD terrain mesh works completely* fine
- Garbled artifacting amongst road objects are "fixed"
Still-persisting bugs:
- Car window (layering?) is still broken
- Lighting is still only partially implemented (SUBJECT TO CHANGE, DAY RACES DON'T WORK so it's harder to determine)
- car interior dashboards and windshields and layering (e.g. rain particles render over the car's interior) are broken
- broken mirror rendering
- replay car-stuttering
Newly-introduced bugs:
- DAY RACES DO NOT WORK (causes a "black" screen), likely caused by broken/unimplemented dynamic exposure effect (this does not happen in xcedf's branch, because it uses a constant* exposure there)
- the game has a 70% chance of not working at all because the game can either launch at 1 frame per 2 seconds or 30fps. it's basically luck-based.
